‘Amon Ra’ shows how deep house can maintain a unique, exciting and interesting sound. Audiotones is a Russian producer with a desire to combine “romantic melodies and ethnic elements”. Pulsating, almost vocal, synths make up a lot of the mystical texture that persists throughout the track, while funky drum patterns whose frequency response filters up and down make sure to keep the piece interesting.
